Dubai Creek Marina Installs DPOL® Classic to Enhance Water Quality and Sustainability

Dubai Creek Marina has expanded its environmental and safety initiatives with the installation of the DPOL® Classic, an advanced floating waste‑collection system designed to remove floating debris and pollutants from marina waters. The installation supports Dubai’s broader sustainability agenda and reinforces the marina’s commitment to maintaining world‑class operational standards.

The installation directly supports Dubai’s long‑term environmental goals, including reducing marine pollution, protecting coastal ecosystems, and promoting responsible waterfront development. Cleaner waters also contribute to safer navigation within the marina and the larger creek, reducing risks associated with floating debris and improving overall operational efficiency. Constructed from marine‑grade aluminum and designed for calm water environments, the DPOL® Classic is already deployed in more than 100 marinas across Europe and the Middle East. Its adoption at Dubai Creek Marina highlights the city’s leadership in integrating innovative eco‑technologies into its marine infrastructure.

With the first unit already installed and given the parent company's marina management division under Viya Marina, the company is looking at advancing its sustainability efforts with the installation of multiple units throughout its marina management portfolio.

Its installation at Dubai Creek Marina reinforces the city’s broader environmental initiatives and showcases the marina’s leadership in adopting innovative eco‑technologies.
